Life Drawing March 29, 2007

Last week was Spring Break so Otis didn't have a life drawing session and boy did I feel rusty already. Plus I arrived late at no fault but my own. That and the fact that our models tonight were interacting which is quite the challenge for me. But it's really awesome to just dive into that. Drawing storytelling poses are da bomb yo.

We had a really pretty model today. She wore a see-through belly dancer outfit. It was rather challenging to communicate that through a quicksketch.

Life Drawing class!

Working full-time, the biggest thing that I miss from college was life drawing. It challenges an artist on a day to day basis to visually interpret what you see. So recently, I've been blessed with the fortune to take life drawing classes again. It's really reinvigorated my love for art and my ability to draw. I highly encourage industry artists to continue taking these classes if you can. It's inspiring and a great stress-reliever. Here's a few of the drawings I've taken from my sketchbook.
