DS at Life Drawing

I brought my DS to life drawing. I also have a black and white piece of a Japanese woman. I like how I treated her hands.

I love the thick and thin lines. The small size of the DS screen really force me to thumbnail and block out shapes. As a person who noodles on details too much, this is a good exercise.

More DS painting

Happy days. Collecting smiles, the guys who made the Nintendo DS painting program made a recent update which has made my life a lot easier. They've managed to attach teh pressure sensitivity to the brush size and/or brush opacity. This is an equivalent to the brush in Photoshop 6. My goodness, they are geniuses. What this means is I can get thick and thin lines with my brushes which means I can ink with this thing now. A you can see in th feathers of this bird, I'm able to get crisp sharp edges with little effort. I'm also showing a progression here of the piece. I love it! Thank you Jens Andersson.

DS painting

Getting back into basics is hard. This DS paint program has no layers or undo's. Painting on it is like Martial Arts training with one arm tied behind your back. But it's good training. After numerous bad ones, I finally did one that I liked.

Life Drawing is Back!

We got Life Drawing again at EA. It's been great, but boy did I feel rusty. Here are some of my pieces. The poses average 10 minutes.
